Florida Credit Union is proud to announce the construction of a brand new 90,000 square-foot headquarters to be built in Gainesville, FL.

Last week, clearing of the land began where the building will eventually stand on the northwest corner of Williston Road and Fred Bear Road. Florida Credit Union collaborated with the Commercial Advisory Team at Colliers to assist in finding the 23-acre site, as well as with Walker Architects to design the building. Scherer Construction has been selected to bring the building to life.

“Florida Credit Union has experienced extraordinary growth in the last five years. We’ve doubled our  asset size during that time to over two billion in December 2023, and now serve over 150,000 members!” said Mark Starr, President and CEO of Florida Credit Union. “With our continued growth comes the need to expand our infrastructure, as well as the number of support staff to serve our members. While our current headquarters has served us well for nearly 20 years, we’ve reached capacity, and our new state of the art facility will support FCU as we continue to grow for many years to come.

The project is expected to be completed in 2025, with a groundbreaking date to be announced in the near future.
