More importantly, keep your passwords varied from account to account. While it’s definitelymorework to remember several passwords, it provides an extra layer of security for you. 2) Learn How to Identify Phishing Attempts Phishing is an attempt by a scammer to trick you into divulging your personal information. Scammers look for passwords, credit card numbers, and even your social security number when they run these types of scams. This leads to phishing being hard to spot since there are somany methods that can be used to acquire this information. For example, you may receive an unexpected text that claims to be from FCU and it includes a link, do not click it. If you do, the site may look like legitimate but it is not; scammers are trying to cap- ture your personal informa- tion. If you’re getting rid of older documents like bills and insurance and bank statements, be sure to shred them!
